Payment & Insurance
Payment Methods
I accept credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), as well as FSA and HSA cards.
Insurance
Blooming Haven Counseling is an out-of-network provider. This means I do not bill insurance directly, but I can provide a superbill—an itemized receipt you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement if your plan includes out-of-network benefits.
Checking Your Out-of-Network (OON) Benefits
If you’d like to see whether your plan covers OON services, call your insurance provider and ask:
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
What is the reimbursement rate for CPT codes 90837 (55-minute session) and 90834 (45-minute session)?
What is my deductible, and how much of it has been met?
Do I need pre-authorization to see an out-of-network therapist?
How do I submit claims for reimbursement, and what documentation is required?
I’m happy to guide you through this process if needed.

FAQ’s
-
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or like you’re just going through the motions, therapy might be a helpful next step. You don’t need a “big enough reason” to start—many people begin unsure of where to begin or how to put their feelings into words. That’s completely okay. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you; it’s about creating a safe space to explore what’s going on, process emotions, and build tools for navigating life’s challenges. If you’re feeling stuck or like something’s just off, that’s reason enough.
-
I specialize in trauma-informed therapy, using a blend of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), parts work, somatic tools, and mindfulness-based strategies. My approach is collaborative and paced to your comfort level, helping you feel grounded, connected, and empowered.
-
EMDR helps you heal from trauma, anxiety, and distressing experiences by reprocessing stuck memories so they feel less overwhelming. Instead of revisiting every detail, EMDR uses eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to help your brain integrate and release what’s been holding you back. Many people find EMDR offers faster relief than traditional talk therapy.
-
EMDR can be especially helpful if:
You’ve tried therapy before but still feel “stuck”
You avoid certain memories, places, or feelings
You have negative core beliefs about yourself

In our first session, we’ll talk about what brings you to therapy and what you’re hoping for. You don’t need to know exactly what to say as I’ll guide the conversation and meet you where you’re at. The goal is to create a space where you can exhale and feel seen.
-
We typically start with weekly sessions to build momentum. As you feel more confident using the tools we’ve developed, we may shift to biweekly or another pace that fits your needs. Therapy is flexible—we’ll adjust as things evolve.

It depends on your goals and what you’re working through. Some clients see improvement within a few months; others prefer longer-term support to address deeper patterns. We’ll regularly check in to ensure therapy is meeting your needs.
