Why I use EMDR therapy for trauma and PTSD
EMDR Therapy helps by working directly with how those experiences are stored in the brain and body. Instead of asking you to retell everything in detail, EMDR supports your nervous system in processing what got stuck so it no longer feels like it is happening now.
Over time, the intensity of triggers begins to shift, the body is not as activated, and there is more space to stay present without being pulled back into the past.
Healing does not mean going back through everything that happened. It means your nervous system slowly begins to understand that it is not happening anymore.Healing from trauma is not linear, and it does not look the same for everyone. In our work together, we move at a pace that feels manageable for you, paying attention to what your system can handle at each step.

Hi, I’m Jada. I work with women living with the impact of trauma, whether it has a clear name or not. Many of the women I see are used to holding it together on the outside while something underneath still feels unsettled, like memories, anxiety, or quiet self-blame that does not fully go away. You may have been told to move on. You may have tried, and found it is not that simple.
I understand how much this can shape how you think, how you relate, and how safe you feel in your own body. This work is personal to me, which is why I do it the way I do. You do not have to explain everything for it to make sense here, and you do not have to move faster than you are ready for. We go at your pace. Over time, the goal is not to become someone new. It is to feel more like yourself again

My fee is $200 per 50-minute session. I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. However, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement if your plan includes out-of-network benefits. Sliding-scale options may also be available.
