Oh, hey there!

It’s me, Jada LaBounty

Jada LaBounty offering online trauma-informed therapy, smiling warmly.

If you’re here, you might be carrying something heavy — probably invisible to others. You may feel on edge, shut down when things get close, or wonder why it’s so hard to just be okay. Maybe you’ve endured something no one should — and you’re tired of it controlling your life.

You want to feel safe in your body again. To breathe deeply, trust yourself, and stop flinching at connection.

I’m Jada, a Licensed Professional Counselor-In-Training (LPC-IT), specializing in trauma therapy for survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, trafficking, and complex trauma. I approach therapy with the understanding that trauma lives not just in our thoughts, but in our bodies too. Together, we’ll focus on helping your nervous system feel safer and more supported by not only talking about what you’ve been through, but changing how it feels to carry it in your body.

I use EMDR and trauma-informed therapy to gently help process experiences that may feel stuck or overwhelming. This means we don’t have to dive into everything all at once or relive every detail for healing to happen.

Our work will move at your pace. We’ll build safety and trust first, and from there begin to explore what’s been holding you back.

Outside of sessions, I love playing pickleball, walking outdoors, and crafting with my Cricut or cross-stitch. I also enjoy spending time with my cat, Finley—who occasionally makes a guest appearance in sessions.

I Understand What’s Holding You Back

Nervous adult in therapy session, starting EMDR and trauma counseling.

Before starting therapy, many clients share concerns like:

Feeling afraid that starting therapy might unravel everything they’ve worked so hard to keep together

Worrying that talking about trauma might make things feel more real or overwhelming

Feeling like their struggles aren’t “bad enough” to deserve therapy

You’re not alone in these feelings, and therapy can be a safe place to explore them.
